Analysis: “The Law of Agreement” (book)

In terms of quality information on occult topics, corporate imprints tracing back to the publishing house established by Samuel Weiser in 1956 have been the best source in the United States and perhaps the world. Among recent titles produced by Weiser Books is a book released in 2012 by Tony Burroughs titled: The Law of Agreement: Discover the True Power of Intention. Although this is not Burroughs’ first book, it is the first of his that we have read, and we were pleasantly surprised to find his philosophy and mission substantially compatible with ours.

The biggest difference between Burroughs’ philosophy and ours is that his is paradigmatic in the way that an ethnic or national culture (or vision for a communal or global culture) is paradigmatic, whereas NoetiTaoism™ is not, and we have no culture-blending New Age agenda. With the Noetitek™ system we are able to reach beyond paradigms and, therefore, assess any given paradigm in the most objective way possible. In creating Noetitek™ we discovered the foundational set of principles that enable the ongoing creation of Omniverse, and a “law of agreement” is not among them—nor is there a “law of adversity.” The so-called laws of agreement and adversity are, however, useful terms for people beginning to grasp part of the mechanism that facilitates guiding the understanding and creation of local worlds.

PluribusOne™ recommends reading The Law of Agreement not only because Burroughs’ intent often runs close to our own, but because he advocates enhancement of perception as the means to access the otherwise invisible reality in which we all exist. As discussed in our June, 2013 post: “What is Noetitek™?,” Noetitek™ is the core technology that PluribusOne™ applies in support of intelligence augmentation (IA) goals related to our new science of Enhanced Human Perception™ (EHP). Metaphysical perception is the key to everything. This is what the Old and New Testaments mean where the words “ears to hear” and “eyes to see” are found.

In our analysis, the book is effectively expressing the following Omniversal principles, which can also be stated as “laws”: the Law of Attraction, the Law of Consummation, the Law of Correspondence, and the Law of Momentum. These and others lie at the heart of our Noetitek™ system. At some point the full set will be unveiled and each principle will be fully defined and described. For now, in addition to the four we just mentioned, we add a fifth: the Law of One, mentioned in an earlier post: “PluribusOne™’s ‘Problem Theory’” (February, 2011). Burroughs’ paradigm clearly encompasses a practical ground-level functioning of these principles.

As we have explored in earlier posts, such as: “Corridors of Consciousness” (October, 2011), “The Big Who” (January, 2012), “Why Does the World Exist?” (March, 2013), “Magical Omniverse—Part V” (October, 2013), “NoetiTaoist™ Philosophy Primer—Part I” (March, 2014), among others, we humans live in a grand illusion assembled by Consciousness. Burroughs speaks of a “Separation Scam,” yet the purpose and design of Omniverse depends on the appearance of separateness of one thing from another. The challenge is not to overcome separation; it is to become aware of its true nature, purpose, and value so that one can gain more conscious and intelligent control over one’s creative interaction with the surrounding temporal environment.

Burroughs places a great deal of emphasis on the idea of Highest Good. In NoetiTaoism™ the ultimate highest good is Omniverse in operation exactly as it is. Any other “good,” or “rightness,” is strictly a matter of local and individual human desire-based conceptualizing having relative and ever-adjusting quality. And any purported “higher good for all” is a hazardous conceit, despite good, or righteous, intentions. Oneness is an indelible matter of fact, although awareness of that fact is uncommon.
